So, here's one (possible) example of how estimating with TT21 rather than TT22 might make a difference: I always just try to be within the IRS and state withholding safe harbors and not worry about doing estimates until January. I suppose that in any case, I could do the migration now and keep both estimates alive for a few weeks before ditching TT21. I guess my question/concern is: would an estimated return done with TT22 today be any WORSE than an estimated return done with TT21 today? and then gradually finalize over time as I get final data and TT itself is finalized. My interest is not so much that I want to file early, but that I want to migrate from my 2022 estimate done with TT21 to a 2022 estimate done with TT22. Thanks so much for this it's really helpful.
